General Policies of Museum Operations

Our Museum policies are designed to provide a complete access to the collections as is possible, to assist visitors to the museum and the island, to comply with Commonwealth and Federal regulations, and to assure the preservation of specimens.  See UPRRP Policies

Loans & Exchanges

The UPRRP Zoological Museum actively exchanges specimens with other institutions as a means of enhancing our holdings. Because our focus is in biogeography of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, we prefer to receive identified and labeled specimens from the West Indies. However, we do appreciate specimens from other tropical regions, or any other part of the world.

In return, UPRRP can exchange wet or dry specimens, mostly from Puerto Rico. If you are interested in starting an exchange program with the UPRRP Zoological Museum, Contact us.
